The Eureka Springs Community Center will become hub of activity and a gathering space for both young and old, for visitors and residents.
With facilities to include a gymnasium, walking track, workout equipment with treadmills, bikes, free weights as well as, two meeting rooms for classes and senior activities and a state-of-the-art Technology Center for community meetings and continuing education, the Center will truly function as community center, Senior Center and gathering space.
One of the most exciting component to the Eureka Springs Community Center development is the upgrade of the mission of the Eureka Springs Parks and Recreation Commission. With the success in developing the Community Center comes the transfer of management of the Community Center to the Eureka Springs Parks and Recreation Commission. This expanded role of the Commission will bring a new era of community activity, youth sports, evening activities, community intramurals and activities to be enjoyed by the residents of Western Carroll County.
Unique to Eureka Springs, the Eureka Springs Community Center will also be sought after by the many visitors to the area because it will serve as the primary Trail Hub to the expansive Eureka Springs Trails System. The Community Center will provide convenient parking as well as offer day passes to use the facility.
Visitors may also enjoy the Community Center through the addition of two meeting rooms, as well as, the adaptive use of the gymnasium space into available banquet space.
